::::::: Safety :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

First and foremost, NGCC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public. We simply do not compromise the safety of our employees and our sites. Employees must take an active role in their own safety and health, as well as the safety and health of co-workers, subcontractors and the general public. We expect each of our employees to demonstrate attitudes and actions to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

At NGCC our commitment to Safety is proven and continuous!  Not only in the awards and recognition we have received over the years, but more importantly in the man hours worked and the low incident ratio we enjoy.  The health and well being of all craftsmen and the public is of paramount importance to NGCC.

Safety in construction is an ongoing responsibility.  The work we perform changes daily and so do many of the safety hazards.  It may be confined space one day and fall protection the next, but with an unending commitment to safety and continuous planning, safety measures are always in place.  Safety is a culture that needs constant measure and enhancement.  This is achieved through Management buy-in, Staffed Safety Directors, Training, Site Specific Safety Plans and Constant Field Awareness.

Safety training is an ongoing process for the craftsman at NGCC.  All craftsmen who use specialty equipment or tools are trained on them prior to use.  This specialty training is in addition to the weekly toolbox talks that are conducted for all full-time field personnel.  Weekly Tool Box talks address the current and expected safety concerns of a project to make sure everyone is apprised of these issues.
